Who

Years past, as the last golden light of summer faded into a warm autumnal glow, Adam was stirred from his reverie by the delicate sound of a perfectly poised personage alighting just outside his door...

Seriously though, Adam and Ashley met in Austin in 2006 as part of a thinly-veiled (and wildly successful) scheme concocted by a mututal friend. He still remembers the dress she wore, and she still remembers the insouciant tousle of his hair. About a week later, they went to an ABBA singalong and the rest is history.

Since then, they've unwittingly undertaken a mission to live in every US time zone, racking up stints in Austin, Brooklyn, and now Los Angeles. Coming soon to a city near you!

What

We're going to get hitched in the middle of the day in the middle of a farm in the middle of a city in the middle of Texas. It will be pretty casual, but yes, he is wearing a suit. It will be outdoors. There will be some pretty outrageous BBQ. There might be a spontaneous interpretation of a well-known dance number. There will be pies.

Where

The ceremony and reception will take place at Springdale Farm, a working urban farm just a few minutes from bold and beautiful downtown Austin.

Springdale is an experienced host to events big and small in Austin's food and philanthropy scenes, but it's important to remember that it is an outdoor space nestled in few acres of operational farmland. You might want to leave the stiletto heels and white linen pants back home.

When

The wedding will take place on Saturday, October 8th, 2011. The ceremony will start at 5:30pm with the reception following immediately afterwards. We expect the reception will go for 3 or 4 more hours, but who knows!
